Stavroula Adameitis is an Australian artist, author and cultural futurist obsessed with all things kitsch. Her work sits gleefully at the intersection of popular culture, nostalgia, maximalism and futures-thinking.
Since starting her art practice Frida Las Vegas in 2013, she has created graphic art, textiles and facilitated workshops for organisations including Adobe, Meta, Westpac, the Sydney Opera House and the Art Gallery of South Australia, designed prints for Katy Perry, pyjamas for Peter Alexander and dressed a worldwide cult of glamazons who understand that more is always more.
Co-founder of SA Futures Agency and recipient of the 2025 40 Under 40 Creative Thinker Award, Stavroula believes that looking backwards with enough colour and curiosity is the necessary first step in reimagining the present to create futures worth showing up for.
Her first book, Australianarama: A Campendium of Kitsch, will be published in September 2026 by Pink Shorts Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster.
“Seen through the inclusive democratic sensibility of Stavroula Adameitis, ordinary artefacts of a personally remembered past are joyfully celebrated in colourful exuberance.”
Stavroula brings visual storytelling, cultural intelligence, maximalist colour and cheeky humour to her work with organisations, translating complex ideas into striking, memorable creative work that lands with any audience.
Whether designing a banking app wallpaper for Westpac that brings unexpected joy to the drudgery of internet banking or creating custom election stickers for seventeen million Instagram users, she finds the most interesting thing hiding in any brief and makes it the whole point.
As a speaker and facilitator, she has presented at Adobe MAX, appeared as a panellist at the Powerhouse Museum, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the University of Technology Sydney, and co-facilitates the Sydney Opera House BUILD creative education program. Her work has been exhibited at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Wollongong Art Gallery, JamFactory and in group exhibitions across Australia.
Stavroula welcomes invitations for brand collaborations, keynote speaking, artist talks, creative workshops and panel discussions. Get in touch here.

Choosing to wear Frida Las Vegas is choosing to wear art fashion, not fast fashion.
Let’s face it, the planet does not need any more stuff. From time-to-time, we spice up our lives with external objects that speak to (and reflect) our internal worlds.
Keeping this in mind, all Frida Las Vegas clothing and accessories are consciously produced on a small-scale boutique level. Frida Las Vegas works with a passionate team of pattern makers, fabric printers, cutters and machinists to produce artisanal quality clothing in limited edition production runs.
These processes minimise fabric wastage and the need to produce excess stock. Frida Las Vegas clothing will never go on sale because excess quantities are never made! Each Frida Las Vegas statement piece is expressly designed with the intention of becoming a seasonless heirloom piece - to be worn and treasured year after year.
